The Boston Latin School Youth Climate Action Network (BLS Youth CAN ) student-led initiative was searching for improvisers to volunteer their time to lead them in writing, directing and shooting public service announcement (PSA) short BLS Youth CAN benefits from StageCoach Improv's expertisefilms for their annual Global Climate Change Summit at MIT.

Value Provided

Year after year, StageCoach Improv plays an active leadership role in directing the public service announcement (PSA) film initiative at the annual BLS Youth CAN's Global Climate Change Summit. Various improv warm-ups are used to harness the students' excited energy and inspire a creative and collaborative atmosphere among the student groups. After a creative brainstorming session, the students write a script, cast characters, create props and identify locations to film their public service announcement. As a result of their improv team building efforts, poignant public service announcements emerge with a variety of dramatic and humorous elements. Getting the students engaged in the various aspects of making a short PSA film about one of the biggest challenges facing civilization and the environment, Climate Change, makes for a very rewarding event for all.
