As I was riding the NYC subway thinking about a way of getting my team to communicate better, I came across an article in the local Metro newspaper about StageCoach Improv.
It dawned on me that a team building event focused around improvisation would be a fun and ideal way of getting my team to communicate better. There was a great deal of skepticism from my team about an improv team building event.
Due to Rob DiNinni's prior successful and extensive experience in sales, he was able to design a program which was fun, active, and got my team to really listen and learn. This experience surpassed my expectations and was one of the best ways for my team to focus on communication.
The improv concepts and techniques make you listen carefully – which is the first rule of true communication in my opinion. As Plato once said and Rob has reiterated: "You can discover more about a person in an hour of
play than in a year of conversation. And more importantly, my team and I learned a lot while having fun.
